Two Balls and Two Batsman decided the match - CSK VS KXIP - Match 12 from MOHALI
The 12th match of IPL 2018 at Mohali stadium drenched with six rains from two teams. Finally Ashwin registered his first win against Dhoni. The audience of Mohali experienced a thrilling match. Till the last over the win percentage was equal for both the teams. But the two deliveries of Mohit Sharma takes Punjab to a victory. But we never forget the tremendous batting by the two greatest hitters from both sides. Lets see how Punjab won the match by 4 runs and where they took the game from Chennai.

We should praise the strategy of ashwin here the opening duo smashed every CSK bowlers and made a good opening wicket partnership of 96 runs. Chris gayle scored a fifty from just 22 balls by sending Imran Tahir ball to boundary. Chris Gayle got trapped by watson when he was 63 from 33 balls, he scored 7 boundaries and 4 sixes definitely RCB will think about him. Once gayle was in strike everyone expect KXIP can score more than 220 runs at the end of 20 overs. But after his wicket in regular intervals KXIP losing their wickets. At the end they managed to score 197 runs with the help of Karun's 29 and Mayank's 30.
If KXIP has scored more than 200 runs in yesterday's match. They will register the most number of 200 + score against a team in IPL History. They already having four 200+ against CSK.
Chennai started to chase the runs targetted by KXIP. Murali Vijay opened the chase innings along with watson. Rayudu replaced the injured raina's spot. The openers not scored as expected they are satisfied with 11(watson) and 12 (vijay) runs. Rayudu scored a brilliant 49 runs from one down. The chase become possible until rayudu was run out by a direct throw from Ashwin. Mean while the hero of last match Sam Billings got out for 8 from an unnecessary shot. Then MSD and Jaddu started to rotate singles.
At one point CSK need more than 18 runs per over. Then the helicopter started his fireworks after the 16th over strategic timeout. The strikes from MSD made Chennai closer to the target. In 19th over Jaddu lost his wicket and the Dangerous Bravo landed in crease. CSK need 17 runs to win the match in last over. Mohit Sharma at the bowling end and MSD at batting end. Ashwin and Mohit knows about Dhoni. So mohit keeps the ball as wide yorker and MSD struggle to make it as a boundary. Out of 6 balls four are wide yorkers from Mohit and Dhoni hit two them only. MSD cant able to play those balls from mohit. Mohit has a good control over Dhoni in the last over.
CSK need 11 runs to win from last two balls. Mohit bowled the same wide yorker MSD sliced it the ball marching towards boundary was stopped by the fielder. Thats the end of CSK innings. Still 1 ball remaining as expected Mohit bowled a good length ball and MSD sends it to the crowd. Whenever we saw a last ball six from Dhoni we will hear the voice of Ravi Shastri " Dhoni finishes off in his style". Mahi scored a captain innings of 79 runs at the end.
Those balls from Mohit sharma saves KXIP from another loss. and Dhoni's magnificient knock after a long gap goes in vein. CSK should avoid their last minute tension they should score few runs in middle over. Everytime they are making this mistake. They finish each and every match at last minute. But they should not expect Vinay Kumar to bowl all last over sometimes Mohit Sharma will bowl.
