                    Rajasthan Royals, the first ever champions of IPL tournament. In 2008 first season of IPL started 8 teams trying to fetch the trophy. Shane Warne the spin wizard headed a team having mostly youngsters. Still he managed to finished that tournament as the Champions. It gives more players to team India like Ravindra Jadeja, Yusuf Pathan, Anjikya Rahane, Stuart Binny, Sanju samson and the list goes on. Royals never fail to entertain us. But they a faced a crucial ban for the last years. The Blue boys are back with a bang in this year with a new team. Here is the royal team for IPL 2018



                  At the end of auction RR managed to buy 23 players including 8 overseas players. In that they having 9 batsmen, 6 all-rounders and 8 bowlers. Rajasthan royals retained Steve Smith alone at the time of players retention.They decided Steve smith as captain for their team till last sunday. After his discrimination on ball in the ongoing test match against Southafrica he was forced to resign their captaincy. Team Australia palnning to put an careeer end for smith. Apart from that Rajasthan will never give the captaincy to him after this issue. So the next captain would be Anjinkya Rahane. RR bought the expensive player of this IPL Ben Stokes from England and one more expensive pick his Jaydev Unadkat. If they performed well RR can think of the trophy again. Lets move to table for discussing their chances to win the title.


The Challenging Top Order

                      


                    Anjikya Rahane, as like DD the Rajasthan Captain will be the opening batsman for his team. The boy from Dravids factory will never fail to give his best. He already played for Rajasthan team. Last year he played for RPSG under the captaincy of MSD. He may learn many things from the best captain. As everyone knows about Rahane's batting skill. As a captain everyone expecting a new talent from him. He repalced Steve smith in captaincy so he has to achieve more and more. The first ever champions still trying to enter in finals. A new strategy from this man can make RR to enter in qualifiers. As a batsman without any discussion he can book the position no 1 for him.




              Rahul Tripathi, most of the cricket fans may forget this guy but remember he is one of the main reason for Pune team to play in finals last year. In 2017 IPL he showed a tremendous performance by scoring 391 runs from 14 matches with 93 as his best. More than this statistics he maintained a lightning strike rate of 146.44 So only rajasthan team picked him again. Last year also he paired up with rahane for RPSG and now for RR. So the understanding between him and rahane will strike again. While seeing the opening pair of Rajasthan Royals it seems like the RPSG in 2018. 



              Steve Smith, the ex-captain of RR, a world class batsman and the aussie skipper. From yesterday onwards he became ex-aussie skipper. He is in worst part of his career. Most of the famous players and captains will face this kind of issue atleast once in their lifetime. Smith also didnt escape from this. But they can deny that he is one of the best batsman in current generation. His continues his captaincy skill in IPL also. Last year he made RPSG to enters in finals. Its his duty to guide Rahane from backend in captaincy. This year he gonna play as a batsman without any other pressure. Remember he is a part time bowler too.



                  Sanju Samson, the most wanted young player in recent times. Till last year he played for Delhi Daredevils. Now he moved to his home Rajasthan Royals. If he played in DD again there will a be competition with Rishab Pant for wicket keeping. Now he is the only domestic wicket keeper in RR team. Jos Butler is there, since he is an overseas player he cant get chances to play in all matches. Now Sanju can comfortably booked his spot as a wicket keeping batsman for the entire season. Being an young wicket keeper he is in the race of next wicket keeping batsman for team India in short format games. If he used this feet well he can get chances in Indian Team. When coming to IPL we can ignore his main hundred in last season 2017 against RPSG. 



                         Other than these they having two more batsmen for playing in top-order one is the English wicket keeper Jos butler and another one is D'Arcy Short the young australian batsman. RR picked short based on his performance in Bigbash League. They never wants to waste the money spent on him. Definitely he will get a chance to play. In case short is in squad Smith make himself to play at position 5. 

                        Rajasthan Royals first four batsmen are very strong. Atleast two of them will perform in every matches. Thats enough for the team to score more than 150 runs at the end of their innings. They have top four batsmen first and trailing with the energetic all-rounders. So RR no need to worry about the middle order position.


Blistering All-Rounders



                  Ben Stokes, some heroes were born after a failure. This is the true in the case of Benjamin Stokes. After the loss of T20 final worldcup against West Indies everyone started to blame this guy for giving four consecutive sixes. Still Pune team bought him for a big price and everyone got surprised. Most of them frankly told its a wastage of money. Last year he shut all the critics mouth by giving a demo in IPL how an all-rounder should be. Now he is the worlds best all-rounder. He is the highest pick in this year IPL auction by RR. Stokes has to play at no 6 for this team. Dont forget last year he scored a century in IPL against GL.




                       Stuart Binny, the old RR player is back to his den. He played for RCB for these years. Before that he played in RR and entered in Indian Team and picked 6/4 which is the best bowling by an Indian in International T20. Still binny has to improve his batting skills to become a complete all-rounder. Hope he can make in this Season. So there is no problem for RR team in playing Binny a t position 7.


                            Eventhough RR having a list of greatest batting lineup we have to focus a bit on their Bowling side too. Who and all there and who will be playing XI. lets discuss in next series. Stay Tuned................
