IPL 2018-MATCH1 CSK Vs MI Post Analysis
Does CSK deserve this win???
Well the 11th season of Indian Premiere League started yesterday with a bang. Audience experienced a colourful opening ceremony with favourite stars like Hrithik roshan, varun dhawan, ranveer, tammana and prabhudeva. More than their dance performance the whole cricket fans from the nation waiting for that moment. The IPL 2018 started with a big rivalry match between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and forever champions Chennai Super Kings.
CSK made a comeback after the two years ban in IPL. The most awaited match is over yesterday night itself by the Super Kings. A good comeback for them beating the defending champions by just 1 wicket and 1 ball remaining its a close win for them. Here the analysis about whether CSK won the match like a boss?????? Obviously NO.... Whether MI played like a champion???? For them also the answer is NO...... Lets see about the teams individual performance in yesterdays match.
Mumbai Indians
The defending champions started the season in order to retain their trophy. The Hitman army lost the toss and made to bat first by CSK. They started to bat with a destructive opening pair Rohit and Lewis. But both were struggling to face the swing ball from Chahar and Watson. Atleast rohit hit few balls in his style but lewis return to the seat within few minutes. Mumbai Indians managed to score 165runs with loss of 4 wickets at the end of 20 overs.
Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav played well at middle overs. They faces spin without any fear. Especially they deal Imran Tahir very well. The left and right hand combo worked well until the departure of Suryakumar. But both provided a much needed ininings for Mumbai. After the end of their innings the Pandya brothers took the match in their bat. At one end Hardik struggling to play big shots. In the other hand Krunal smashing the balls to boundary. Because of Krunal only MI managed to set a competitive target to CSK.
When coming to the bowling of Mumbai Indians. we should not blame them they bowled for the first 15 overs. Fizz, Bumrah, Hardik, Markande bowled extemely good and put immense pressure to CSK in chase. But Mcclenaghan conceeded lot of boundaries he missed his length. I dont know why rohit didnt give the ball to pollard eventhough Mcclegnahan gave so many runs.
Bumrah bowled well except that 19th over which was destroyed by Dwayne Bravo. He tried to place yorker but it ends with low full toss. He has to improve alot in death overs. He has supposed to bowl the 20th over but rohit wants to take bravo wicket so that he gave ball to Bumrah.
The biggest talent from Mumbai Indians Markande the 20years old leg break bowler took 3wickets from his googly. Rayudu, MSD and chahar struggled alot in facing his googly. Definitely a notable talent from the young man. We can expect a lot of innings like this before the end of this season. Finally MI need some spin attack as like the previous seasons.
Chennai Super Kings
CSK started their first match with a chase. From bowling unit Deepak chahar, Watson did a great job in powerplays. They contained the opening hitters of MI very well. But at middle overs Wood and Tahir conceeded too many runs to Krunal, Kishan and Suryakumar.
Bhajji and Jadeja stopped with just 2 and 1 over respectively. Bravo bowled an expensive first over later he bowled well and stopped Mumbai Indians scoring 180+ runs. Dhoni stopped chahar with 3overs. He can give one over to him instead of using Wood at pressurised situation.
MSD have to use Lungisani Ngidi instead of Wood in upcoming matches and he should repalce duplesis instead of Tahir and add Karn sharma for spin attack with Bhajji.
When coming to CSK batting they opened with a surprised pair Rayudu and Watson. everyone expected murali vijay will open with watson. But rayudu played a decent innings as a opening batsman. Watson played wonderful until he misjudged the slower ball from pandya. With his arm power he thought to sends the balls to gallery but it gets caught by lewis.
Mr.IPL Raina came to bat after the loss of watson. He rotated strike very well. Again a trap by Pandya a bit bounce made raina deaprture. That is the unwanted shot played by raina. MSD still struggling to play his ususal game and gets out by Markande. Jadeja also did the same he forget that he has so many responsibility now.
Kedhar jadav played a slow innings made all CSK fans to blame him until he hit the winning boundary. Because CSK bought him for a huge amount. Somehow he managed to take CSK to win still he has to prove himself for the money spent on him.
Bravo, he is really Bravo!!!!! want an wonderful innings from the talented all-rounder. He stopped MI from scoring big target and saves CSK from defeat. At the end of second strategic timeout CSK need more than 50runs from 4 overs. But the way he played got claps from the cricket fans. What an innings man. This is one of the interesting chase in IPL history.

Good Performance: Krunal, Suryakumar, Ishan, Watson, Chahar
Decent Performance : Rayudu, Jadhav, Hardik
Overall Bravo takes the match from the half boiled Mumbai Indians.
