IPL 2018: Match 13 - Sixers Rain at EDEN GARDEN- Second win for KKR

                           In the league match, Russell and Nithish Rana gave a six rain-hit victory to Kolkata, winning by 71 runs. 11th Season IPL in India Yesterday's league match was held at Eden Garden ground in Kolkata. Gambhir, who has been the captain for the last 7 years, has won 'Toss' for the Delhi team and selected the field.

                         Sunil Narine (1) and Chris Lynn gave a good start to the Kolkata Knight Riders. Uthappa (35) and Lynn (31) were slightly assisted. Then Rana and Russel Sikar poured rain. Russell scored 41 runs off 12 balls (6 sixes). Rana (59 runs, 4 sixes), scored half-centuries. At the end of 20th over Kolkata team scored 200 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

                        Delhi Daredevils started the chase with Jason Roy (1), Shreyas (4) and Gambhir (8) were the only two batsmen to score a single digit. Both Rishab Pant (43) and Maxwell (47) both helped DD to reach a significant score. Morris (2) bowled out from Narine, and he celebrated his 100th wicket in his IPL career. This is the 3rd bowler who reached this goal. None of the tail enders cant able to continue the chase Vijay Shankar (2) and Shami (7). Daredevils innings was over with the wicket of  boult (0), the Delhi team was bowled for 129 runs in 14.2 overs. and Knight Riders won by 71 runs. Meanwhile KKR reigstered their second win in this season. Both Sunil narine and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each from the bowling end of KKR.

  

                            Before the season starts everyone focused on Delhi team because they have the combination of both senior and junior players. But now their performance was not upto the mark. Still Gambhir was in confusion to pick a squad. He can make a good opening pair like he should open for his side along with Colin Munro. Mean while he try to give chance to young talents on U19 India the captain prithvi shaw. Still he is having the all-rounder Jayant Yadav. Gambhir can give a chance to him in the place of Vijay Shankar. The bowlers tactics also need to improve DD fails in first innings itself from the knock of Rana and Russel. They forget to control both the destructing batsman.
