Chennai Super Kings common mistake in this IPL
CSK, the most favourite team of IPL, having a huge fan following among Indian fans which other teams cant even make half of that. They undergone a ban of 2 years because of betting issue along with Rajasthan Royals. The players of both teams split and played for other teams, still CSK fans not get satisfied and wait for their reentry in IPL. After two years the yellow flag was hoisted in last January with the players retention list. They played three matches in this season as of now registered two wins and a loss. Whether the wait of CSK fans are worth???
CSK played their first game against their rival Mumbai Indians. The bowlers performed well still they struggled to chase the targetted and some how they win the game by 1 wicket with the help of Bravo. In the second match they played in their home ground chepauk against the Kolkata Knight Riders. As usual they started their bowling well but the second 10 overs was completely taken by Russel. Because of him the target score went more than 200. They opened with a tremendous partnership from watson and rayudu. But stuggled at middle overs. Somehow they won the game with the help of Blistering knock from Billings. But third match was not so easy as they expected even MSD cant save his team from the loss.
In all the three games they made common mistake. That is they never maintaining the required run rate at middle overs. Every match they try to finish at the end overs only. MS Dhoni did a biggest mistake by swapping the batting order of Bravo and Jadeja. Remember Jadeja was a bowling all-rounder. He is coming to bat before bravo and consumed too many balls which creates pressure to bravo at the end. In second match also they did same. But luckily they got vinay kumar at bowling end. So Jadeja Smashed the ball to six and takes CSK home.
In third match Dhoni changed the inform opening pair by replacing Vijay for Rayudu. This reduces the opening pair confident and results in the quick loss of opening wickets. Moreover anyone spinner is enough for CSK either Bhajji or Tahir. Still Dhoni keeping both in squad. He should keep anyone of them and add Karn Sharma as another spinner. David Willey is on the way to join with CSK team. If he comes Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, David Willey should be inside the squad. If required he can use remaining overseas players like duplesis or billings or tahir or Mark wood. If Duplesis return to squad CSK can reduce the middle over batting pressure easily. Will hope MSD will correct these things in upcoming matches.
