Time to see a Rare Blue Moon There would be a total lunar eclipse on January 31 2018. The moon will appear larger, reddish and brighter when a total lunar eclipse occurs during a blue moon and a "super moon". Many have already begun calling it a 'super blue blood moon' eclipse. It would be a collision of multiple lunar events. There would be a total lunar eclipse which will happen when the earth passes between the sun and moon blocking sunlight from reaching the moon. The lunar eclipse will occur at the same time as a blue moon. The last time such a thing occurred was 35 years back. The exact date was December 30 1982.

According to NASA this takes place because the indirect sunlight reaches the
moon during the total lunar eclipse. The moon could also appear to be blood red
or dark brown.
When can you
see the total lunar eclipse?
Those in the middle of US are expected to get
the best view. In Asia and Australia too the view would be very good. Those living
in the East Coast would get the least impressive view.

The lunar eclipse is expected to last for
about an hour. In India it would start at 6.21 pm on January 31 2018. It would
be visible till 7.37 pm Indian Standard Time.

Asia, Africa, Australia, South America and Europe.
