decided to name 'The Freedom Series' for the 3-Test Test series starting on
January 5. According to a South African Cricket Board report, "The series
was originally titled as 'Friendship Series' in remembrance of India's help to
enter in the 1991 Cricket World Cup.
India, the country is well known among the world for
fought against the racism. Even South Africa also faced the same issue over
some centuries. In the remembrance of claiming Independence in the way of
non-violence both India and South Africa decided "The Freedom series"

will be called by the same name in the future. Also, The Freedom Series will
feature a special file to be introduced at the ceremony before the first Test
